Benefits
What is the difference between Immunocal and Immunocal Platinum?
Immunocal naturally boosts glutathione levels in the human cell, helping the immune system to perform at optimal levels. The Platinum product contains the same glutathione-enhancing ingredients as Immunocal, but was designed specifically for baby boomers.
Among its many features, Immunocal Platinum works with the body to repair damaged cells and to improve mood, energy, well-being, alertness, concentration and clarity, all important to the maturing population. It also helps maintain proper muscle function and maintain bone health by reducing calcium loss.

Does Immunocal contain any additives?
The product is additive-free; the sole ingredient is undenatured whey protein isolate.
Dosage/Use
Can a person who is lactose-intolerant take Immunocal?
Yes, since each pouch of Immunocal contains less than 1% lactose, it is usually well-tolerated in people who are lactose-intolerant. It should be noted that being lactose-intolerant is different than having a milk protein allergy (see below).
Is there anyone who should not take Immunocal?
People with allergies to milk protein or organ transplant patients receiving immunosuppressant therapy should not take Immunocal. If in doubt, consult a physician.
Manufacturing
How does the manufacture of Immunocal differ from other whey proteins?
Immunotec’s proprietary manufacturing process preserves the critical disulfide bonds in the glutathione precursor cysteine. By delivering this delicate protein to the cell, it enables the body to create glutathione and maximize immune system levels. Other whey proteins are often manufactured using extreme heat and harsh methods of mixing, resulting in a denatured and ineffective product.

What are the Immunocal/Immunocal Platinum pouches made of, and are they recyclable?
The pouches are made of low-density polyethylene; the Immunocal Platinum pouch also contains foil layers. The pouches are not recyclable.
Storage
How should Immunocal be stored?
Immunocal should be stored at cool temperatures to maximize shelf-life and preserve efficacy; we suggest temperatures of 70-90°F (21-32°C).

What does undenatured mean?
Immunocal works by providing important glutathione precursors to the cell. It is critical that these precursors remain intact or undenatured during the manufacturing and mixing processes in order to enhance the immune system. That is why we recommend that Immunocal not be heated or subject to harsh mixing in order to preserve its bioactivity.
What is the difference between Immunocal and other whey proteins?
While other whey proteins may be good sources of nutrition, only Immunocal is proven to raise glutathione levels and enhance the immune system. Immunocal has a proprietary and unique formulation developed by Immunotec who uses a proprietary manufacturing process for its production.
Why can’t glutathione be taken in pill form?
Glutathione is produced by the body in the cell when the necessary precursors are provided. Immunocal delivers cysteine to the cell so that it can produce glutathione. Pills pass through the digestive system and little, if any, glutathione is absorbed.
Where can I find Immunocal listed?
Immunocal is listed in the Physicians’ Desk Reference, the Pharmacist’s Red Book and is eligible for coverage under Medicare/Medicaid in the U.S. In Canada, it is listed in the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties (CPS).

What are the benefits of Resveratrol?
Resveratrol is a substance found in red wine, grapes, raspberries and peanuts and is thought to be the molecule responsible for protecting against clogged arteries. The isolation of the molecule and its protective benefits is considered to be a breakthrough in anti-aging medicine.
Ingredients
Why is there no Resveratrol in the U.S. formulation?
Resveratrol is allowed as a natural health product ingredient only in products manufactured in the U.S. Immunotec’s Vitamin and Mineral Supplement is currently manufactured in Canada and cannot be exported. It is hoped that a supplement which includes resveratrol will be available in the U.S. market soon.
What is Chlorella?
Chlorella is a form of microscopic algae and one of the oldest life-forms on our planet; it is one of the first organisms to use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into energy. Chlorella is included in the formulation of Immunotec’s Vitamin and Mineral Supplement because it provides a natural source of an incredible array of nutrients: proteins, essential amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, macrominerals, trace elements, and phytochemicals. Chlorella is such an incredible source of nutrients, it has been nicknamed a “superfood.”
What is Inositol?
Inositol is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin.
Is the gelatin capsule animal-or vegetable-sourced?
The capsule is from a vegetable source.
Does the product contain preservatives?
No. The Vitamin and Mineral Supplement is free of preservatives, gluten, lactose, sugar, and heavy metals.
Why is there no iron in this “complete” formulation?
Some individuals do not tolerate iron supplementation. Immunotec’s medical professionals suggest that iron be used on an as-needed basis only.
Why is there no calcium in the “complete” formulation?
Immunotec’s medical professionals suggest that in order for calcium to be taken in appropriate doses a stand-alone supplement should be used.
Why does the Canadian formulation contain 21 vitamins, minerals and nutrients whereas the U.S. formulation contains only 20?
The Canadian and the U.S. formulations are the same, except for the inclusion of Resveratrol in the Canadian product.

Why are the capsules transparent instead of opaque?
Transparent capsules have been used to avoid the incorporation of the chemical agents required in colored capsules.

Does the transparency of the capsules influence the stability of the product?
No. An opaque bottle has been used to protect the capsules from direct sunlight. Preserve product freshness by ensuring that the cap is closed between each use.
Why is “Trans-Resveratrol” mentioned on the label?
There are two forms of Resveratrol; the “cis-” and the “trans-” form. The “trans-resveratrol used in Immunotec’s Vitamin and Mineral supplement is the biologically active form of resveratrol.

Can the capsule change color with time or between batches?
Yes. Since the capsule is transparent, variations in color may occur over time or between batches.

What are the benefits of CoQ10?
CoQ10 is a powerful natural antioxidant and one of the essential elements in the production of energy by each cell of the human body, whose distinctive advantages are linked to cardiovascular health and the prevention of migraines.
What are the benefits of turmeric?
The turmeric contributes to the antioxidant properties of the product and anti-inflammatory properties are often attributed to it.

What type of capsules are used?
The small soft gel capsule is animal- (cow) based and uses the latest intestinal dissolution technology in order to promote easy ingestion and elimination of nauseating reflux (fish odor). A suitably effective and stable vegetable soft gel incorporating the same dissolution technology is not yet available.
Is the gelatin capsule animal- or vegetable-based?
The capsule is animal- (cow) based. A suitably effective and stable vegetable soft gel is not yet available.
Why don’t we use plant-derived Omega-3 instead of fish-derived Omega-3?
Plant-derived omega-3 products do not confer the same health benefits as fish-derived products. The benefits associated with brain and heart health are derived from the long-chain omega-3s found only in fish and seafood.
Manufacturing
The fish oil is “cold pressed”; what does that mean?
Using high pressure, the crude oil is extracted at temperatures below -10 to -20ºC; this helps to preserve the integrity of the ingredients.
Storage
How should I store the product?
An opaque bottle has been used to protect the capsules from direct sunlight. Preserve product freshness by ensuring that the cap is closed between each use. Store in a cool, dry place. Capsules may change color with time or between batches. Shelf life is 24 months.

Why are the soft gels transparent instead of opaque?
Transparent capsules have been used to avoid the incorporation of the chemical agents required in colored capsules.
Why are the soft gels orange?
The coloring is attributed to the presence of Turmeric in the product. Aside from its beneficial properties, turmeric is currently used in North America as a coloring agent in mustard.
XTRA SHARP®
Ingredients
Why is glycerin present in the product?
Glycerin helps to ensure that the herbs and minerals in Xtra Sharp remain properly mixed.
Is the glycerin animal-or vegetable-based?
Vegetable- (palm) based glycerin is used in Xtra Sharp.
Is there caffeine in the product?
Xtra Sharp contains guarana, a plant from the Amazon that, when digested, breaks down into several compounds including caffeine. It differs from the caffeine found in coffee and other drinks because it is released much slower, is not as harsh and its affects last longer.
Why do we use Potassium Hydroxide in the product?
The caramel color in Xtra Sharp is acidic; the Potassium Hydroxide is used to neutralize the coloring agent and maintain the integrity of the product.

What causes the residue or crystals at the bottom of the bottle?
The small deposits or crystals sometimes found at the bottom of the Xtra Sharp bottle is caused by reaction between two of the minerals present in the product: calcium glycerophosphate and potassium citrate. These deposits are harmless and can be discarded if so desired.

Are there preservatives in the Cherry Concentrate?
Immunotec Tart Cherry is 100% pure, with no preservatives, no additives, no food coloring, and no added sugar.

Why is the Cherry Concentrate in an aluminum bottle?
Immunotec Tart Montmorency Cherry Concentrate is sold in an opaque FDA-approved bottle; to preserve the integrity and the stability of the active components. This unique bottle keeps the product fresh, without the use of preservatives.
Is the bottle recyclable?
Yes, the aluminum bottle is recyclable
Is the Cherry Concentrate Kosher?
Yes, the product is Kosher-Parve certified, meaning it contains no milk or meat derivatives.
Why does the U.S. label differ from the Canadian label?
Labeling regulations are different in the U.S. and Canada.
Storage
How should I store the Cherry Concentrate?
Since this product does not contain preservatives, it is important to store it in a cool, dry place (less than 80°F (27° C) and 60% relative humidity) until the bottle is opened. A small amount of nitrogen is added at the end of the bottling process to preserve freshness. After opening, the product should be refrigerated with the cap tightly closed for a period of six months.

Why do I notice variances in color between batches of Tart Montmorency Cherry Concentrate?
Although the cherries in Immunotec’sTart Montmorency Cherry Concentrateare harvested at their peak, variances in taste and color can occur. And since the Cherry Concentrate has no coloring agents or sweeteners, these variances may be noticeable in the product. It is not abnormal for the product color to darken with time. This is a natural process and in no way affects the efficacy of the product.
Please explain some of the terms associated with Cherry Concentrate:
- ORAC units: Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity is a widely-used testing method which measures the antioxidant activity or capability of a food ingredient. The higher the measurement, the better the ORAC value.
- Anthocyanins: Chemicals which help to protect the plant from UV damage. In humans, anthocyanins have powerful antioxidant properties and are known to be effective in inhibiting the COX enzyme which can produce a feeling of discomfort by irritating nerve endings.
- Cyanidin: A particular type of anthocyanin; it gives the cherry its red color.
- Melatonin: A hormone secreted from the pineal gland. Its concentration in the blood varies following a daily cycle. The maximum concentration occurs in the night, triggering sleepiness, with the minimal concentration around noon. Tart cherries, specifically the Montmorency variety, contain an extremely significant quantity of melatonin, enough to produce positive results in the body
- Low Glycemic Index: Low Glycemic Index foods have a slow and steady impact on blood sugar levels.
- COX enzyme: COX enzymes speed up your body’s production of hormone-like substances called prostaglandins. Prostaglandins cause a feeling of discomfort by irritating your nerve endings; they are also part of the system that helps your body control temperature.
PNT 200®
Ingredients
Is there any coloring added to the PNT 200?
No coloring agents are added to PNT 200; the off-white color of the powder is its natural color. The capsule is colored with the most common white coloring agent for pharmaceutical products.
Is the gelatin capsule animal- or vegetable-sourced?
It is made from animal-(bovine) sourced gelatin.
Dosage/Use
Can an individual overdose on PNT 200?
PNT 200 is a safe, natural product when used according to the dosage instructions on the label.
Is PNT 200 addictive?
No, there is nothing in PNT 200 which is addictive.
Are there side effects associated with PNT 200?
PNT 200 helps to relieve the symptoms of stress; there are no known side effects.

What are the key ingredients in Magistral?
- Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens). Saw Palmetto is the single best-studied herb for prostate health. It has been the subject of more than 20 clinical trials involving over 3,000 men. Magistral uses a proprietary technology to create a liquid extract of the active portion of the whole Saw Palmetto berry, giving this extract a much higher bioactivity than most commercial products.
- Damiana (Turnera diffusa) andMuira Puama (Acanthea virilis). Traditional herbs used for sexual vitality.*
- Ginseng (Panax ginseng). Ginseng has been used as an herbal medicine for over 2,000 years.
